School Group Tours
Are you looking for an exciting and educational experience for your students? Look no further than Blennerville Windmill! Our tours include a fascinating video presentation on the history of the Windmill and Blennerville as a port of emigration during the 1800s, available in English, French and German.
Your students will have the opportunity to explore the emigration exhibition area with translations in French and German, and take a guided tour of the Windmill with a demonstration of how flour is made. The ascent of 4 flights of steep stairs is sure to get their hearts pumping, and the reward of breathtaking views of the Slieve Mish Mountains and Tralee Bay will leave them in awe.
But that’s not all! Your group will also have time to visit the Kerry Model Railway exhibition and view the vintage equipment display. And when it’s time to refuel, we have 5 outdoor picnic benches available for your use.
Don’t forget to stop by our gift shop before you leave, where you can find souvenirs and mementoes to remember your visit.
Our guides are English-speaking only, but we have accommodations in place for those with mobility issues. The visit lasts approximately 1 hour, but we find that some groups may have more interest in the exhibition and may want to spend more time.
